El sistema hereditario catalán visto desde la perspectiva de los segundones. Un despliegue genealógico para conocer cual fue el futuro de los hijos segundones

The article examines the works published on the expansion of Catalonia and the Crown of Aragon in Occitania, and on the religious beliefs of the cathars and the crusade thrown against them and his protectors, the nobles of the Languedoc. The article also examines the works published on Peter Catholic, king of the Crown of Aragon, and on his diplomatic and military activity to stop the crusade and to protect his vassals of the Lan guedoc, up to his defeat and death in Muret’s battle. Although medieval sources and historians of the modern age are quoted in the article, the focus is on contemporary historians and their debates on the objective of the catalan and aragonese expansion to the north of the Pyrenees, the christian or exogenous origins of catharism and the motivations of the albigensian crusade.

En el presente estudio se da a conocer el trabajo filologico inedito sobre la Terminologia de los cereales y del olivo en las comarcas de Sobrarbe, Ribagorza y Litera realizado por Adoracion Solans Cortina en 1956. Nos anima a ello una doble finalidad: por un lado, continuar el proyecto de recuperacion de la memoria de las mujeres pioneras en el estudio de las lenguas propias de Aragon; por otro, homenajear desde estas paginas al profesor Antoni M. Badia i Margarit, recientemente fallecido, que promovio el estudio del aragones y del catalan de Aragon en la Universidad de Barcelona y dirigio varias tesis de licenciatura sobre estas lenguas, en su mayoria redactadas por alumnas que, como Adoracion Solans Cortina, cursaron Filologia Romanica en dicha institucion academica

The castle of Mur is located in the mountain range of El Montsec in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees. During the 10 th and 11 th centuries, Mur is the centre of a territory situated at the first line of the border with the Islam, between al-Andalus and the Catalan counties. This situation compels to design some measures of protection like a network of castles and watchtowers with a visual communication between them. The landscape of this zone is covered by forest and pastures, more tan fields that we can find down the valley and in the sunny slopes. The agriculture is based on cereals, vine and olive trees, but also irrigated crops that are related to a hydraulic infrastructure and some fruit trees. The remains that can be identified on the spot and the documents confirm it.
